The Smart Mobility Shuttle begins running the connected vehicle tour!

Demonstration by Kodiak Robotics
Come learn about how Kodiak Robotics is building Level 4 long-haul autonomous trucks that aims to improve the safety of our highways, increase shipping efficiency, and reduce congestion. Kodiak was founded in April 2018 and is based in Mountain View, California. Kodiak currently operates between Dallas and Houston, delivering freight autonomously with a safety driver behind the wheel.

Demonstration by United Spinal
United Spinal Association’s booth at the Smart Mobility Showcase will be designed to show how vital autonomous vehicles are: not just for people with disabilities, but for the general public. Without reliable and accessible transportation, limitations on workforce development, labor and overall quality of life will exist. In addition, universal design of AV needs to work for everyone and for people with disabilities, our call to action is: “Don’t Make Cars We Cannot Access!”

PAVE is a coalition of industry, nonprofit, and advocacy groups with one goal: To bring the conversation about Autonomous Vehicles (AV) to the public so everyone can play a role in shaping our future.

!important is a Free Mobile App designed to prevent collisions between connected cars and Vulnerable Road Users like pedestrians, bicyclists, scooter riders and motorcyclists by sending phone-to-phone alerts to users. Come learn about how they are working to make our roads safer!
3:00 - 3:30 pm
Demonstration by National Safety Council
National Safety Council will be exhibiting its MyCarDoesWhat education campaign on ADAS systems – this is the first and largest comprehensive education campaign geared to the general public about new safety systems currently incorporated into vehicles. The public will see the variety of systems and understand how these forms the building blocks of self-driving.
