We don’t just look at connected vehicle technology, we take it a step further and analyze the data. We take traffic patterns to simulate and predict traffic to help cities with congestion. Autonomous, Connected, Electric and Shared (ACES) trends are not only here, but also coming to life.”

2020 Vision for Austin – Spin
Our goal at Spin is to work with cities by helping them meet their overall transportation goals. E-scooters are one option that can help the city significantly decrease one of its major challenges, traffic congestion. To do this we believe it’s important to create micromobility infrastructure that encourages mode shift and connects people to other forms of transportation options including public transit. That’s why we’ve invested in micromobility infrastructure Spin Hubs — charging and parking for e-scooters — on private and public property to better integrate mobility options into cities. Austin has already outlined a robust approach to its mobility future. We think mobility hubs can provide a more robust array of options that will support the transportation needs of all residents.

2020 Vision for Austin - Zipcar
In 2000, Zipcar envisioned a future where the number of people who share a car would outnumber the people who personally own one. Twenty years later, Zipcar is the world’s leading car-sharing network and is closer to that vision than ever before in large part because of a shared goal with cities and policy makers across the globe. The mutual goal of Zipcar and cities is to deliver indisputable, long-term and sustainable social, environmental, and financial benefits to our communities. Today and in the future, Zipcar will continue to offer cities and members significant and distinct benefits through its round-trip car sharing model.

But in order for that to happen, we all must improve the safety of those riding electric scooters and bikes. At Wheels, our mission is to enable everyone to have access to a safe micromobility option. Wheels looks forward to discussing safety issues in the micromobility space and the innovative solutions that can be used to improve safety and make micromobility all it can be.”

MicroTraffic is a group of road safety professionals using smart city technology to help empower life-saving decision making. MicroTraffic is proud to collaborate with 3M to work towards eliminating traffic fatalities and improving mobility for all.
