Drone Demonstration by Choctaw Nation UASIPP and Oklahoma State University Unmanned Systems Research Institute (USRI) and Bell Labs

The Choctaw Nation is a part of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Integration Pilot Program (IPP), which is an initiative that began in October 2017 to begin safely testing and validating advanced operations for UAS (“drones”) in partnership with tribal, state and local governments in select jurisdictions. The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is one of 10 selectees announced from a competitive pool of more than 200 tribal, state and city governments. Come learn about how they are collaborating to accelerate the safe integration of UAS into the national airspace and to realize the benefits of unmanned technology in our economy.

 

The Oklahoma State University Unmanned Systems Research Institute (USRI) is the hub of drone research and development at Oklahoma State University, connecting customer needs with subject matter experts across the OSU domain. USRI specializes in research, education, and training in autonomous technology for air, ground, and maritime systems working with government and commercial customers to develop custom drone solutions and technology integration for defense, the environment, and unmanned traffic management.
