Friday, March 13th – Tuesday, March 17th

AM Showcase Information Specialist 7:30 am -11:30 am (6 people per day):

The AM Showcase Information Specialist positions are physically active positions that require helping demonstrators set up and transport their materials from their vehicle parked in the loading zone into the event space. At 10:00 am when the event starts, your key responsibility is to welcome attendees entering the event and to answer any event related questions they may have. You must have a phone and be comfortable speaking with and directing strangers. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome demonstrators as they arrive and help direct them to the correct location

  • Aid demonstrators as they are loading in and setting up

  • Welcome guests to the event and help answer questions they have

  • Become knowledgeable about event related activities and locations

  • Encourage guests to actively engage with the technology and ride the free E-cab

 

PM Showcase Information Specialist & Event Load Out 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Afternoon Information Specialist & Event Load Out volunteer positions are physically active positions that require helping demonstrators close down and secure their equipment overnight. In this role, you will help demonstrators transport their materials from their tent to their vehicle or a secure location onsite. When you first arrive, your key responsibility is to welcome attendees entering the event and to answer any questions they may have. You must have a phone and be comfortable speaking with and directing strangers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Aid demonstrators as they are loading out

  • Welcome guests to the event and answer questions they have.

  • Become knowledgeable about event related activities and locations

  • Encourage guests to actively engage with the technology and ride the free E-cab

 

AM Mobility Hub Information Specialist 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (2 people per day)

The AM Mobility Hub Information Specialist volunteer positions are physically active positions that require helping demonstrators set up the temporary mobility hub that will be located off the 200 & 300 block of Caesar Chavez. At 9:30 am, your key responsibility will be to answer questions about the activation, encourage people to ride the free E-cab to learn about connected vehicle technology, and promote the Smart Mobility Showcase located off Electric Drive and in Sand Beach Park. You must have a phone and be comfortable speaking with and directing strangers. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Aid demonstrators as they are loading in and setting up

  • Promote the Smart Mobility Showcase located on Sand Beach Park and Electric Drive

  • Become knowledgeable about general event details and answer questions of people passing by

  • Encourage people to actively engage with the technology and to ride the free e-cab shuttle  

 

PM Mobility Hub Information Specialist 1:00 pm  – 5:00 pm (2 people per day)

The PM Mobility Hub Information Specialist volunteer positions are physically active positions that require helping demonstrators loadout each evening.  When you first arrive, your key responsibility will be to answer questions about the activation and encourage people to ride the free e-cab to learn about connected vehicle technology and explore the Showcase located off Electric Drive and in Sand Beach Park. You must have a phone and be comfortable speaking with strangers. At 4:00 pm, when the showcase closes for the day, you will be assisting the demonstrators in loading out their equipment.

  • Aid demonstrators as they are loading out

  • Promote the Smart Mobility Showcase located on Sand Beach Park and Electric Drive

  • Become knowledgeable about general event details and mobility hubs

  • Encourage people to actively engage with the technology and to ride the free e-cab shuttle
